Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that golf is a Mind/Body game, a motion game ,not an eye-hand hit the ball game. Sound swings don't produce understanding but rather understanding produces sound swings. Confidence comes from knowledge and understanding.

This philosophy has enabled me to assist students of all levels to improve their golf games and maximize their potential to play and enjoy the game. As an instructor or coach my goal is to not only improve a golfers game but their quality of life by making golfing a more pleasurable experience.

I believe that students need to learn the short game as its where you score and it is a mini version of the full swing. Golfers need to understand where proper impact is with a wedge in their hands to be able to transfer that feel to the full swing and

                             Michael Hovance, is the owner and Master Clubfitter at Perfect Swing Golf Center.  Mike has been  building and fitting custom clubs for 13 years. Prior to starting Perfect Swing, Mike  also worked as a Golf Professional at the Toms River CC.

                                Alan Roberts, a PGA Professional since 1978 and a PGA Quarter Century Member; Alan has a vast experience with players of all levels but his passion is working with, junior golfers. As a swing coach Alan recognizes that “Balance is the key to consistent ball striking at the setup and most importantly at the finish of the motion. If you can maintain balance dynamically through out the motion you can achieve consistency in your golf shots.”
